There are daily bus services from Byron Bay to Nimbin and back. We recommend booking over the phone ahead of time, to ensure there are seats available.
The Happy Coach is our favourite shuttle bus, as they are always keen to take on more passengers and will drop you off all the way at your hostel (saves carrying the backpacks).
The trip includes a visit to Minyon Falls, 2 hours free time to explore Nimbin, a visit to the World Heritage Forest, and discount shopping vouchers for food, clothes and gifts, redeemable in most shops and cafes in Nimbin!
Return ticket from Byron costs only $25, and if you decide to stay the night, the driver will bring you to Nimbin Rox. You can still use your return ticket whenever you are ready to leave.
The Nimbin Shuttle bus takes the scenic route to Nimbin and on the way back offers to drop people off at Uki, close to the famous Mt. Warning.
You get 2.5 hours of Nimbin time and optional tours can take you to important places around Nimbin (like the Sunday markets in Channon and Bangalow), and give you photo opportunities of the Nimbin Rocks, the Mt Warning Caldera and Mt Burrell.
Information folders are available in Japanese, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
