Our very own Nimbin Rox van is there for you! We use it take hostel guests to town and back, to visit local markets and all the impressive natural sights around Nimbin.
Want to go swimming? Shopping? Take pictures of waterfalls? Feel free to suggest a destination and we can organise a trip. Every trip costs only around $10/person, depending on the distance from the hostel.
We do a bus run to Nimbin twice a day, so you can do your shopping or just save yourself the walk (although the town is really close!).
This service is for FREE. So if you have just arrived in Nimbin, got stranded for a lift, or just want to check out our hostel, get on board (we park by the Nimbin Visitors Centre) or give us a call and we'll happily pick you up.
Every week, there is a market somewhere. The Rainbow Region is famous for its trade and craft markets, where people from all walks of life gather to sell their wares and shop for food, clothes, tools and art, so we feel it is essential for our guests to 'get a taste of the local'.
Nimbin itself has a market almost every weekend; one in the Rainbow Lane on Saturdays, and the main market, which is held at the Nimbin Community Centre (every third and fifth Sunday of the month).

It is also well worth the trip to see the Channon market, as it is the most famous of the region. With countless tents arranged in wide circles, the Channon market offers superior shopping and entertainment, with awesome range of international foods all day long. Stay until the evening and watch the famous drum circle come to life as people pour into the main area to dance and enjoy themselves.
We try to be flexible about our pick-up and drop-off times and to take our guests to all the major markets and back, as we believe that visiting the markets is a truly local experience.
Standing proud for centuries in World Heritage Nightcap National Park, the Protesters Falls got named after the first successful anti-logging protest that took place here in 1975. It ensured the preservation of this breath-taking piece of jungle, as well as many endangered species who call it home.

No swimming allowed, as this area is a home to the endangered Fleay's barred frog. However, it is a beautiful short hike through the jungle to see the waterfall with excellent photo opportunities all along.

We particularly enjoy taking hostel guests to the Hanging Rock, as it is pure fun for everyone involved. This swimming hole is fed by a crystal clear creek and has been shaped by the forces of nature for centuries.

The Hanging Rock is quite secluded, yet it attracts many locals. On hot days it draws in mainly the younger people, as the water is very deep and there are dozens of nifty jumping spots.

Do a one-meter dive from top of a waterfall or toughen up and impress your friends by doing the rope swing, with its jaw-dropping height of over 15m. This is a MUST for any nature lover or adrenalin junkie.

will take you to Nimbin and back, visit markets, waterfalls, swimming holes and hiking up mountains...
